The holiday seasons are upon us. This weekend, your little elves could help Santa light the annual Christmas tree at University Towne Centre or you can shop for gifts at the Holiday Bazaar.

If you music and dance, there’s the AMP Music Festival or take in Arabesque at ArtPower in UCSD.

Or you can try your luck against the Zombie horde.

Arabesque

Arabesque, the only independent modern dance troupe in Vietnam, will be making its San Diego debut Saturday at UC San Diego.

The group will be performing, “The Mist,” as part of an cultural exchange program run by the State Department.

Under the direction of Nguyen Tan Loc and the guidance of Kiev-trained ballerina Ngo Thuy To Nhu, “The Mist” will blend the traditional Vietnamese folk dances with modern dances.

The program starts at 8 p.m. at the Mandeville Auditorium, 9500 Gilman Dr. Tickets range from $24 to $46 or $12 for UCSD students.

Zombie Run: Black Ops

While Halloween is over, it’s never too late to train for the zombie apocalypse.

This Saturday, try your luck through the 3.1-mile course of zombie-infected wasteland and surviving to the finish line at the Zombie Run: Black Ops in Temecula.

The run is a fundraiser for the Kennedy Krieger Institute to help kids battling brain injuries and disorders.

Tickets range from $45 to $70.

AMP Music Festival

A festival to celebrate the Asian-Pacific Islander-American musicians, that’s what the AMP Music Festival is all about.

In its fourth year, the event sought to shine the light on the up and coming talents in the API community who are overlooked or under-represented in music and entertainment but have managed to build a fan following through self-producing.

Acts such as Misc. Ailments, CS and Tee Young, Chelsey Chavez, Paul Dateh and Tribal Theory are expected to perform.

AMP goes from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday at the Jacobs Center, 404 Euclid Ave.Tickets are $10.
