The 50th anniversary of the Fallbrook Community Airpark will be celebrated Saturday with a festival featuring free flights offered by the Experimental Aircraft Association’s Young Eagles and Eagles programs.

The free event will commemorate the first official flight in 1964 at the airpark, which is one of eight airports run by the county of San Diego.

In addition to free flights around the community, aircraft will be on display and information booths will be set up where people can get information about skydiving, taking balloon rides or learning how to fly.

Parking will be at Fallbrook High School, 2400 S. Stage Coach Lane. Free shuttles will be available to bring visitors to and from the airfield.
