The National Weather Service issued a flood advisory for San Diego County for the second consecutive weekend as scattered thunderstorms moved throughout the region.
The county’s desert and mountain areas are primarily affected, as heavy rainfall in those regions could produce flash flooding.
The flood watch will continue through Sunday evening.

Last Sunday, thunderstorms knocked out power for about 1,000 San Diego County residents according to SDG&E. As the storms moved up the coast, lightning killed one victim in Venice Beach and injured several more.
