Hundreds of thousands turned out to watch the 40th annual San Diego Pride Parade in Hillcrest on Saturday.
Nearly 200 organizations marched along the 1.1-mile route, including many local companies and elected officials.
Assembly Speaker Toni Atkins, D-San Diego, the first lesbian and first San Diegan to run the lower chamber of the state legislature, was the grand marshal.
The parade is one of the largest LGBT parades in the United States.
