Services at some North County hospitals will be limited Thursday because of their proximity to a fire that has burned about 700 acres south of state Route 78 in San Marcos and damaged or destroyed several buildings.
Kaiser Permanente’s San Marcos Medical Offices, 400 Craven Road, is scheduled to be closed all day. Officials with the facility said representatives would contact those with appointments to reschedule.
Kaiser Permanente members can get updates on closures, appointments and schedules by calling (619) 662-5656. All other Kaiser facilities are open.
All elective surgeries Thursday at Palomar Medical Center, 2185 Citracado Parkway in Escondido, were cancelled although the facility’s hospital and emergency room are scheduled to remain in operation, according to hospital officials. Inpatient surgeries will continue as scheduled, or as needed.
Elective surgeries were also cancelled at the Palomar Health Downtown Campus at 555 East Valley Parkway in Escondido. Hospital officials said all emergency services would remain operational and inpatient surgeries would also continue as scheduled, or as needed.
All hospital and emergency services were fully operational at Pomerado Hospital at 15615 Pomerado Road in Poway.
Urgent care centers in the North County affiliated with Rady Children’s Hospital were closed Wednesday but are back open Thursday. The Scripps Health Coastal Medical Center that was closed in Carlsbad Wednesday was also open Thursday.
All Palomar Health hospitals are open and fully operational at this time, officials reported Thursday afternoon, sharing these updates for hospital and San Marcos service locations.
Palomar Medical Center – 2185 Citracado Parkway, Escondido
All hospital and emergency services are fully operational. All elective surgeries have been cancelled for today. Inpatient surgeries will continue as scheduled, or as needed.
Palomar Health Downtown Campus – 555 East Valley Parkway, Escondido
All hospital and stand-by emergency services are fully operational. All elective surgeries have been cancelled for today. Inpatient surgeries will continue as scheduled, or as needed.
Pomerado Hospital – 15615 Pomerado Road, Poway
All hospital and emergency services are fully operational.
Expresscare Health Clinic San Elijo Hills – 1571 San Elijo Road South, San Marcos
This location will be closed today and Friday, May 16. All other expresscare health clinic locations are fully operational (Rancho Penasquitos, Escondido, Temecula).
Palomar Health at San Marcos – 120 Craven Road, San Marcos
This location will be closed today and Friday, May 16. Palomar Health services in this facility include rehabilitation, wound care, diabetes health and corporate health.
