“We are thrilled to bring Stephen and Jocelyn on board,” said Trevor Callan, chairman of the Equinox Board of Directors. “Stephen is a talented young leader with a passion for our region’s quality of life who will help take Equinox Center to the next level.”

He said Maggard will “bring great energy and ideas” to new and existing programs.

Lutar, the executive director since March 2013, will become a special adviser. She was formerly the executive director of the San Diego County Taxpayers Association.

“Lani has been a great asset and we’re looking forward to continuing to work with her,” Callan said. “This organization is growing and expanding its influence across business and environmental communities. These changes reflect that.”

Before joining Equinox Center, Heverly was the communications director for San Diego Councilman David Alvarez’s mayoral campaign, a policy adviser to City Councilwoman Sherri Lightner and worked in public relations. Maggard will help with day-to-day operations, including communications.
