“High pressure over the region will continue unseasonably warm weather today,” according to the National Weather Service. “The high pressure (will weaken) Thursday and Friday as an upper level low approaches. This low will bring a modest cooling trend and a slight chance of showers, mainly in the mountains Friday into Saturday.”

Temperatures Wednesday are expected to be 10 to 18 degrees above average for this time of year.

The NWS forecast today called for a high of 80 degrees in downtown San Diego, 81 in Oceanside, 85 in Miramar, 86 in Chula Vista, 88 in Fallbrook, 89 in Escondido and El Cajon, and 98 in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park.
