What’s good (or safe) to eat at Sycamore Canyon/Goodan Ranch Preserve?
Author and college professor Lisa Chaddock will share her knowledge of what American tribes used on a daily basis for nourishment and medicine, the county reports.
“This program can help you learn what is safe and not safe to eat when hiking or camping in the local region,” the county says of the March 8 event. “The program will be followed with a short walk through the preserve.”
Guests should park at the Goodan Ranch Staging area and walk about a mile down to visitor center. Rain or muddy conditions will cancel the event, set for 9 to 11 a.m.
