San Diego County Credit Union partnered with the San Diego Blood Bank to host a New Year blood drive at seven SDCCU locations in San Diego and Riverside counties, collecting 112 units of much-needed blood, which will help save the lives of over 336 people.

The blood drive helped boost blood inventory during a challenging time of the year for the San Diego Blood Bank. Blood donations are critical at all times of the year, especially during the busy holiday season.

“Thank you to everyone in our community who donated blood at our New Year’s blood drive,” said Teresa Campbell, SDCCU president and CEO. “SDCCU is pleased to continue our ongoing partnership with the San Diego Blood Bank to once again host blood drives throughout Southern California. Your efforts saved lives.”

More than 30 hospitals rely on the San Diego Blood Bank every day. With a shelf life of just 42 days, the constant need for new donations is critical. To learn more about the San Diego Blood Bank or for more information on the blood drive, visit www.sandiegobloodbank.org.
