The San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency reported an uptick in the number of fully vaccinated residents Sunday.

The total rose by 6,601 to 1,745,096. With the boost, the county reached 83% of the goal to have 2.1 million residents fully vaccinated.

The county currently has more than 330,000 vaccine doses on hand.

County officials did not offer an update on new COVID-19 infections and deaths Sunday. Since the pandemic began, there have been 281,202 local cases and 3,770 deaths from the disease.

California reported 942 new cases statewide and four more deaths Sunday.

That brings the total number of state cases to nearly 3.7 million, while California’s death toll stands at 62,512.

Statewide, 39.5 million vaccines have been administered, with almost 19 million people fully vaccinated.
