Jeffrey Jaureguy, a student at MiraCosta College in Oceanside, is one of 20 college students named to the prestigious All-USA Academic Team and will receive a $5,000 scholarship.
Jaureguy will be recognized at Phi Theta Kappa’s President’s Breakfast, held during the American Association of Community Colleges’ (AACC) convention on April 30 in Dallas. In addition to the scholarship funds, he will be presented with a commemorative medallion, and his college president will also receive special recognition.
“Thank you for all the support I have received at MiraCosta College. I could not have done this without the help and guidance of this wonderful community. I am and honored and humbled to be recognized for my academic achievements and to be the first student in Phi Theta Kappa at MiraCosta College to receive the All-USA Academic Team scholarship,” Jaureguy said.
All-USA Academic Team members were selected for their outstanding intellectual achievement, leadership, and community and campus engagement. The All-USA Academic Team is sponsored by Follett Higher Education Group, with additional support provided by Phi Theta Kappa and AACC.
