Scientists at UC San Diego will study how Italians live to be 100.

The scientists will study 300 Italians from a small village home to about 2,000 people, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.

“The town is very small, but the number of people who live really long lives is very high,” Dr. Alan Maisel told the newspaper. “Some of the centenarians are actually supercentenarians. They live to at least 110 years old.”
