The University of San Diego’s online graduate business program was ranked ninth nationally by U.S. News & World Report, it was announced Tuesday.

In the publication’s annual rankings of online education programs, USD was given high marks for its Master of Science in Supply Chain Management. It ranked first in student engagement and 14th in admissions selectivity.

“We are proud to receive this recognition for our high-quality supply chain management program,” said Jaime Alonso Gomez, the USD School of Business dean.

“Our ranking in the top 10 for the second year in a row is a testament to our alumni and committed faculty and staff as well as to our excellent supply chain management students who are pursuing graduate education in a vibrant, innovative and rigorous environment,” Gomez said.

The school’s online Master of Education degree ranked 62nd in the nation by the magazine.

The rankings were based on accessibility and responsiveness of instructors, support services and career guidance, admissions selectivity, faculty credentials and a survey of top academic officials.
