Police were on the hunt Sunday for a man who stabbed two people on Halloween night in the Midtown neighborhood of San Diego.
The first attack took place just after 10:30 p.m. Saturday, when a 67- year-old man was stabbed in the neck under the Interstate 5 bridge on Vine Street, according to the San Diego Police Department.
About 15 minutes later, a 72-year-old victim was stabbed in the neck and chest just two-tenths of a mile away, on Sassafras Street and under the same bridge, police said.
Paramedics took the victims to nearby a hospital. Their conditions were unclear as of Sunday morning.
Both victims told police that the suspect wore a dark hoodie and brown or tan pants. One of the victims also said he was approximately 40 years old and thin and had a black ski mask covering half his face.
Detectives from the SDPD’s Western Division are handling the investigation.
Police asked anyone with information about the attacks to call 619-692- 4800 or Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
