The San Diego Sheriff’s Office announced Friday that an arrest has been made in connection with a threat of “shooting up” Del Mar City Hall.

On Thursday, just after 4:30 p.m., deputies responded after a caller made statements about shooting up the public facility on Camino Del Mar.

Deputies conducted a safety sweep of the Del Mar Civic Center, where City Hall is located, and canceled a scheduled public concert at the center.

After an investigation, Kyle Knudsen, 42, was arrested outside his home in Pacific Beach. Deputies seized a firearm and 15-round magazine.

Knudsen was booked into the Vista Detention Facility on charges of making criminal threats and possession of a large-capacity magazine.
