
A motorist was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after crashing into a utility pole in Vista, causing a power outage that affected almost 50 customers in the area.
Cruz Norberto Valentin, 28, was arrested at the scene, authorities said.
According to Onscene.Media, one person was taken to a hospital with moderate injuries.
The crash was reported at around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 2100 block of E. Vista Way, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office.
Personnel from San Diego Gas & Electric were called out to repair the damaged power lines.
