A 49-year-old female pedestrian was struck and killed by a Ram 3500 pickup truck in Chula Vista Monday.
The woman was struck in the 400 block of Second Avenue, near G Street, at about 2:45 p.m. Monday, according to the Chula Vista Police Department.
Paramedics took the victim to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead, Officer Brandon Andaluz said. Her name was withheld pending family notification.
Intoxication was not believed to have been a factor in the fatality, Andaluz said. It was not immediately clear who was at fault for the accident.
