An evacuation warning was briefly issued Saturday after a brush fire broke out in Bonsall, authorities said.

The fire started around 3 p.m. near 1403 Chariot Court, off La Primavera Drive. It drew an air response from Cal Fire San Diego as it burned approximately two acres in light, flashy fuels.

Despite a few anxious moments – authorities had sought a second alarm along with calling for three additional engines, according to the nonprofit service Watch Duty – the agency reported about 35 minutes later that the forward rate of spread had been halted.

The cause of the brush fire was not immediately known.
