A suspect is in custody after refusing to exit a reported stolen U-Haul truck and trailer, prompting a SWAT intervention in Mira Mesa.
Officers checked out the vehicle and trailer at 7775 Calico St. around 1 a.m. Friday, according to the San Diego Police Department.
Police officials said the male driver was either in the cab or trailer and refused to exit, which prompted SWAT assistance as a precaution.
The suspect was taken into custody around 7 a.m., police said. It was unclear how police were able to arrest him.
No injuries were immediately reported.
