A hit-and-run driver left a motorcyclist with facial injuries Wednesday after a collision in Mission Valley, San Diego police said.
An unknown person was driving a dark grey SUV northbound on Texas Street while a 55-year-old man was riding a 2004 Harley Davidson southbound at 2:25 p.m. The SUV made a U-turn in front of the motorcyclist, who struck the SUV. The driver fled the scene.
Medics took the victim, who suffered a broken nose and a deep laceration to the forehead, to a local hospital. His injuries are considered non-life threatening.
It is unknown if alcohol was a factor in the crash. The San Diego police Traffic Division
will handle the investigation.
