
Fire crews worked to rescue a vehicle on a stretch of highway in the Mission Valley area on Thursday morning.
Units were dispatched at 6:25 a.m. Thursday and arrived a few minutes later to the eastbound Interstate 8 on-ramp near Camino Del Rio North, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.
There were 29 personnel were assigned to the rescue, including four engines, two medics and one truck, officials said.
No injuries or evacuations were immediately reported.
What prompted the rescue was unclear.
