
A man in his 50s was killed Sunday in a shooting in Lemon Grove and the suspect was at large, authorities said.
Deputies responded at around 12:40 p.m. Sunday to a call of shots fired at Kunkel Park in the 8100 block of Lemon Grove Way, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered a man on the ground with signs of trauma to his upper torso.
The severly injured victim was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
A preliminary investigation suggested that the suspect and victim were acquainted, according to the sheriff’s office. No motive or suspect description were immediately available.
