Six people, including four children, were rushed to a hospital Wednesday following a report of carbon-monoxide poisoning at a Campo home.

The emergency, in the 1700 block of N. Campo Truck Trail, was called in shortly after 11 a.m. Wednesday, according to Cal Fire.

Paramedics took the victims to Sharp Grossmont Hospital in La Mesa, said Mike Cornette, a fire captain. The victims’ conditions were not immediately available.

The source of the apparent gas leak remained unclear in the mid-afternoon, Cornette said.
