Firefighters quickly gained control Saturday over a residential fire at a home in Azalea Park.
Units were dispatched at 1:35 p.m. to 4223 Poplar St. near Fairmount Avenue, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.
A total of 28 personnel were assigned to the fire, including five engines, one truck and one medic, officials said.
No injuries or evacuations were reported. The circumstances leading up to the fire were unclear.
