Authorities on Tuesday publicly named a young man who died this week in a predawn motorcycle crash in Otay Mesa.
Jose Ruan Lopez, 20, was headed north on Enrico Fermi Drive shortly after 4:30 a.m. Monday when his Kawasaki Ninja rear-ended a box truck that had stalled in the roadway north of Otay Mesa Road, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Lopez, whose residence remained unknown, died at the scene, the California Highway Patrol. reported.
