The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a Wednesday night shooting that left one man dead.
Deputies say they responded to calls about shots fired at around 10:55 p.m Wednesday night. They arrived at 2200 Dain Ct. in Lemon Grove at about 11 p.m. to find a 23-year-old man in the middle of the street with a gunshot wound to his torso.
Despite lifesaving efforts, the man died at the scene. Homicide investigators are currently gathering more information about the incident.
“We’re trying to gather all evidence, talk to as many witnesses as we can find,” Lt. Mike Krugh with the Homicide Unit told Onscene.Media.
There is currently no confirmed information about any suspect.
