Roblar Fire at Camp Pendleton Grows to 1,000 Acres, 20% Containment

Firefighters worked Monday to subdue a wildfire that has blackened about 1,000 open acres on the grounds of Camp Pendleton.

The blaze, dubbed the Roblar Fire, erupted in the northeastern reaches of the northern San Diego-area Marine Corps base on Saturday, Cal Fire reported.

As of Monday afternoon, military and civilian crews had the burn area about 20% contained, according to Camp Pendleton public affairs.

The Roblar Fire has burned 1,000 acres and is currently at 20% containment. There are no impacts to the installation. Both CPFD and CALFIRE are on scene working containment efforts. There is no threat to personnel or structures.

The fire caused no reported structural damage or injuries and posed no threats to developed areas on or off the USMC installation, officials said.
