The San Diego Police Department has made an arrest in a May 2023 homicide in Ocean Beach.
The department said in a statement that on May 10, 2023, just before 11 p.m., 35-year-old Sean Glenn was standing on a sidewalk when a man walked up and punched him in the head, knocking him out. Glenn was hospitalized for months, but eventually died from the injuries.
Andrew Restrepo, 36, was taken into custody on Tuesday after what the department described as an intensive investigation. Police said that Restrepo was also responsible for a similar attack on a different man later that month while on an MTS bus in the Midway area.
Restrepo was found and arrested for both assaults on Tuesday afternoon. He was booked on one count of murder, two counts of assault with force likely to result in great bodily injury, and various other related charges.
Anyone with further information are asked to call SDPD’s Homicide Unit at (619) 531-2293, or San Diego Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477.
