Authorities Wednesday publicly identified a homicide victim whose body was found last weekend in his home in the far southeastern reaches of the San Diego area.

Emergency crews found Arthur Andreatta, 75, dead at his house in the 900 block of Tierra Del Sol Road in Boulevard about 3:45 p.m. Saturday, according to the county Sheriff’s Department.

“At this stage of the investigation, the motivation and circumstances of the homicide are still unclear. … Sheriff’s homicide detectives are working to gather more information to determine the facts of the case,” Lt. Michael Krugh said Wednesday.

Officials have not disclosed the cause of Andreatta’s fatal head wounds.
