Authorities Monday publicly identified a 28-year-old man who was killed over the weekend in a late-night solo car crash on state Route 163 near Fashion Valley mall.
Albert Solis of Fallbrook was headed south at about 12:45 a.m. Saturday when the vehicle he was driving veered off the freeway, went up an embankment north of Friars Road and struck a tree, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Solis died at the scene of the accident, the agency reported.
