A shooting in Lakeside left a 24-year-old man wounded early Monday.
The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department said that deputies responding to a report of gunfire shortly after midnight found the victim in the 12000 block of Woodside Avenue in Lakeside, suffering from gunshot wounds.
Paramedics took the man to a hospital, where he was admitted in stable condition.
Investigators said they believe the shooting took place in a restaurant parking lot near where deputies found the victim.
The motive for the shooting and the assailant’s identity remained unknown as of Monday afternoon.
