Authorities have named two men who died in separate late-night motorcycle accidents involving Harley Davidsons in San Diego County.

The first of the deaths took place shortly before 11:30 p.m. Friday, when Joel Montoya of Valley Center crashed his northbound motorcycle into an SUV that had stopped ahead of him at the intersection of state Route 78 and 10th Street in Ramona, according to the Medical Examiner’s Office.

The second wreck occurred just over an hour later, at 12:45 a.m. Saturday in Valencia Park, officials said. After a traffic stop in the 6200 block of Imperial Avenue, Terry Ivory of Rancho Cucamonga fled and lost control, sending his motorcycle crashing into a parked pickup truck about 10 blocks away. He and his passenger were ejected in the wreck.

Montoya and Ivory, both 25, died at the scenes. Ivory’s female passenger lost a leg and suffered what were described as life-threatening injuries.
