A suspected drunken motorcyclist was seriously injured during a single-vehicle crash in Kearny Mesa, authorities said Sunday.
The crash occurred about 9:35 p.m. Saturday in the 9300 block of Lightwave Avenue, the San Diego Police Department reported. Alcohol was a factor in the crash.
The 31-year-old biker, riding a 2021 Honda motorcycle, was westbound in the 9300 block of Lightwave Avenue when the bike drove into the eastbound lanes of traffic and struck the center median.
The biker was ejected from the vehicle. He suffered a skull fracture, an orbital fracture and abrasions.
