
A 54-year-old pedestrian was in the hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a motorcyclist in the Midway neighborhood, the San Diego Police Department said Wednesday.
At 11:16 p.m. Tuesday, the man was walking eastbound mid-block at 4000 Sports Arena Boulevard, when he allegedly walked in front of a 41-year-old man riding a 2013 Yamaha motorcycle, SDPD Officer John Buttle said. The motorcyclist was knocked off his Yamaha and was unconscious at the scene.
The pedestrian sustained a fractured left femur and other serious injuries and was taken to the hospital.
Traffic Division officers responded to the scene and were investigating the collision.
