
Four people were killed Friday in a suspected drunk driving crash on Route 163 in Kearny Mesa according to reports from the scene.
The deadly three-vehicle collision occurred just before 1:30 a.m. on southbound Route 163 at the interchange with Interstate 805.
A videographer with OnScene.TV reported that one vehicle had flipped, four people were dead, and two DUI arrests had been made.
Two of the victims died at the scene, which involved a Toyota Prius, Toyota Tacoma and a third vehicle.
An investigation by the California Highway Patrol was continuing.
A Sigalert was issued and southbound Route 163 was closed in the area through the late morning. Traffic was diverted to southbound I-805.
