The pilot of a light aircraft made a non-injury hard landing Monday at Montgomery-Gibbs Executive Airport.
The landing gear of the twin-engine Beechcraft 55 Baron collapsed when the airplane touched down at the Kearny Mesa general aviation airport shortly after 1 p.m., according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
The two people aboard the aircraft suffered no injuries in the accident.
The FAA has opened an investigation into the cause of the mishap, agency spokesman Sam Lichtman said.
