A pedestrian was killed on Interstate 8 in El Cajon, the California Highway Patrol said this weekend.
The crash was reported to CHP at 9:21 p.m. Saturday and occurred on the westbound freeway at Main Street.
A woman notified CHP that she possibly hit a pedestrian and it was quickly reported that the person was in the middle lane.
The age and gender of the pedestrian were not available.
The westbound lanes were shut down at Main Street, the CHP said.
