A man was arrested on suspicion of stabbing a co- worker at a Gaslamp taco shop, the San Diego Police Department said Thursday.

At 5:41 p.m. Wednesday, behind a taco shop at 800 5th Avenue, two employees got into an argument, SDPD Officer John Buttle said.

“During the argument the suspect took out a knife and slashed the back of the victim and fled,” Buttle said. “The victim had a cut to his finger and about a 4-inch laceration to his back.”

The 35-year-old victim was taken to a hospital and his injuries were not considered to be life threatening, the officer said.

The suspect, a man in his 30s, was arrested in the 500 block of F Street and the weapon was recovered, Buttle said.

Central Division was investigating the stabbing.
