A power outage that struck just before dawn Thursday left thousands of South Bay homes and businesses without electrical service through the late morning.
The blackout across neighborhoods in Bonita and western Chula Vista began about 6:30 a.m., knocking out power to 4,556 San Diego Gas & Electric customers, the utility said.
As of shortly after noon, repair crews had restored service to all the affected addresses, according to SDG&E.
The cause of the outage was under investigation, the power company reported.
