Authorities asked for help Thursday in identifying the driver in a hit-and-run that left a pedestrian badly hurt last weekend in Oak Park.
The victim, 41, was hit by a vehicle, possibly a light-colored small van or SUV, in the 3000 block of 54th Street shortly after 6 p.m. Sunday, according to San Diego police.
Following the impact, the motorist continued driving and left the area.
The injured woman remained in the roadway and may have been struck by one or more other vehicles prior to the arrival of emergency personnel, police said. She suffered severe injuries.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact San Diego County Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477 or online. Tipsters may remain anonymous and could be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
