A man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after reportedly stabbing another man during a fight in Solana Beach early Wednesday, leaving him severely wounded.

Trenton James Lancashire, 21, is accused of stabbing the victim during an argument at about 2:30 a.m. when an argument in the 300 block of Corto Street turned physical.

Paramedics took the wounded man to a hospital, where he was admitted in critical condition but was expected to survive, law enforcement said.

Sheriff’s deputies found Lancashire a short time after the stabbing in a nearby home and took him into custody. He was booked into county jail in Vista, where he was being held without bail pending arraignment, which was scheduled for Friday afternoon.
