At least one person died in a three-vehicle crash on Interstate 5 in Carlsbad on Sunday night, the California Highway Patrol said.
The crash was reported at 9:57 p.m. on the southbound freeway at Cannon Road.
Witnesses told the CHP that three vehicles collided. A dark sedan and gray pickup truck were overturned in the No. 2 lane and a Jeep was facing the wrong way in the No. 4 lane.
The collision was under investigation on Monday and further information was not immediately available.
