A 61-year-old man on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle was seriously injured when he collided with a vehicle on Torrey Pines Road in La Jolla, police reported Monday.
The collision happened at 9:01 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Little Street and Torrey Pines Road, according to Officer Robert Heims of the San Diego Police Department.
A 19-year-old man was driving a 2016 Dodge Challenger south on Little Street when he stopped at a stop sign at the intersection then made a westbound turn onto Torrey Pines Road, Heims said.
The officer said the victim’s motorcycle crashed into the Dodge’s side front fender as the car pulled into the intersection.
The motorcycle rider suffered multiple right femur fractures, Heims said.
The driver of the Dodge was uninjured and DUI was not a factor, the officer said. The San Diego Police Traffic Division is investigating.
