A power outage left hundreds of homes and businesses without electrical service Tuesday afternoon in eastern El Cajon and the neighboring Bostonia and Granite Hills areas.
The blackout began shortly after 3:30 p.m., knocking out power to a total of 943 San Diego Gas & Electric customers, the utility reported.
Service was expected to be restored to all the affected addresses by 6:30 p.m., according to SDG&E public affairs.
The cause of the outage was under investigation.
