A hit-and-run crash on a South Bay roadway left a bicyclist injured Monday, authorities reported.
The victim, a man in his 60s, was riding north on Bay Boulevard when a white sedan or SUV struck him from behind near Palomar Street shortly before 11 a.m., according to Chula Vista police.
Following the impact, the motorist continued driving, heading onto a nearby Interstate 5 onramp to flee south, Sgt. Anthony Molina said.
Paramedics took the bicyclist to a hospital for treatment of apparently minor injuries, the sergeant said.
