A motorcyclist was killed Wednesday after crashing into a vehicle on the northbound Silver Strand at Coronado Cays Boulevard following a police chase, authorities said.
The crash happened around 7 a.m. Wednesday when Coronado Police Department officers tried to pull over a speeding motorist, according to Fox5.
The suspect sped up before crashing into a vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. The person’s identity was not immediately released.
Traffic in the area was being detoured as police conducted an investigation. The northbound lanes of the Silver Strand were closed.
