A power outage left hundreds of back-country homes in southeastern San Diego County without electrical service for part of the morning Tuesday.
The blackout struck about 10:20 a.m., knocking out power to a total of 1,023 San Diego Gas & Electric customers in the Barrett Lake and Lyons Valley areas, east of Jamul, the utility company reported.
Shortly before noon, power had been restored to all but a single address, according to SDG&E public affairs. That customer was expected to be back in service by mid-afternoon.
The outage was caused by “planned maintenance in the area,” SDG&E reported.
