One person was killed Friday afternoon in a traffic crash near Cuyamaca College, authorities reported.
The fatal collision took place about 4:30 p.m. at Jamacha Road and Cuyamaca College Drive West in Rancho San Diego, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The driver of one of the vehicles evidently ran a stoplight just prior to the wreck, the CHP reported.
The victim died at the scene.
