Firefighters quickly extinguished a fire in a single-story house in Fallbrook early Wednesday, the North County Fire Protection District said.
The fire was first reported at 11:43 p.m. Tuesday in a large debris pile next to a flatbed trailer in the 1200 block of Alturas Road, according to NCFPD Capt. John Choi. The fire extended from the trailer into a small house.
The residents safely evacuated the house and there were no injuries to them or firefighters, the captain said.
Crews prevented the blaze from spreading to a home next door, Choi said. The fire was contained at 12:10 a.m.
