Police released the names Thursday of two men stabbed to death early Sunday during a fight at a home in Jamacha/Lomita.
Edward Robbins, 36, and Jeffrey Moore, 34, both of San Diego, died following the stabbing, which police said occurred at a home in the 800 block of Carlsbad Street. A woman was also stabbed during the melee, but was hospitalized with non life-threatening injuries.
Police were called about 2:40 a.m. according to San Diego police Lt. Adam Sharki, who said investigators found that during a gathering at the home, a fight broke out. Michael Major, 38, allegedly used a knife to stab all three victims. Moore died at the scene, while doctors pronounced Robbins dead at a hospital, according to police.
Major faces two counts of murder and one count of assault with a deadly weapon for allegedly stabbing the woman.
He pleaded not guilty at his arraignment Wednesday. A prosecutor said during the hearing that the suspect and victims knew one another.
Major remains in custody without bail.
